The Cabaret at Germano's kicks off Winter Restaurant Week on Friday, January 22, 2010 with the exciting jazz vocalist and musician, Russ Moss, performing his original cabaret "Delicious Songs," including favorites, What A Beautiful World, Georgia, and Stormy Weather. He is joined by jazz greats Stefan Scaggiari on piano and Mark Russell on bass. Doors open at 6 p.m. for pre-show dining and the performance begins at 7:30 p.m. Seating is limited and early reservations are encouraged. There is a cover charge of $10. In addition, throughout Winter Restaurant Week, A Germano's will offer a selection of bottles of wine at half off the wine list prices.

A tremendous value for a wine that ordinarily sells for $60 per bottle.
Deep black cherry / ruby in color, its rich bouquet hints at the elegant
red berry fruit  found on the palate - a bright mix of sour cherry and
raspberry. It is traditional in style, with good acidity and well-integrated tannins.

Sauvignon Blanc, La Cappuccina, Veneto, 2008   $39/bottle
Not the typical, ubiquitous "gooseberry / New Zealand-style" sauvignon,
this Italian showcases the great finesse and character of the sauvignon
grape. Certified Organiz and grown on the Tessari family's estate near
Verona, the bouquet is bright and breezy but on the palate it's eloquent,
clean, and refreshing, with a long, lingering finish.
